Situation:
An international document production and technology corporation has a large field force (>1,500) that services its check imaging and processing equipment. The company was not gathering uniform reporting data from its mobile workers and needed a better system getting work orders to the field and capturing information that would improve customer service, product performance and labor efficiency
Solution:
A project was launched in its technology imaging group, leveraging an existing customized PeopleSoft Vantive CRM application and extending it to a variety of BlackBerry devices through Mobilelink.extend and the BlackBerry Enterprise Server mobile data service. The mobiles include work order, real-time parts inventory, and results.
Results:
The Mobilelink.extend solution offered a method of capturing specific information needed to improve employee performance, business operations, and deliver a higher-quality of service to its customers.
